生死与亲情
每一位母亲都对自己腹中肉有感情，去年年尾，我为交流区一位母亲超度婴灵，当我念经时，那小姑娘回来，看着母亲，母女之间的亲情，是很感人肺腑。
Every mother forms a bond with the life she carries. At the end of last year, I performed a ritual of deliverance for an unborn child on behalf of a mother in our community. As I recited the sutras, the little girl returned and gazed at her mother. The connection between mother and child was deeply moving, touching the heart beyond words.
【孟婆汤】有人说孟婆汤是用一个人一生的眼泪，七情六欲熬制而成，有离婚的女生问我，可不可以喝一碗孟婆汤，就可以忘却前尘往事，而不用在黄泉路上留下更多的眼泪，大家认为离婚带给女生最痛苦是甚么？
Meng Po Soup
Some say Meng Po Soup is brewed from a lifetime of tears, simmered with the seven emotions and six desires. A divorced woman once asked me whether drinking a bowl of Meng Po Soup could help her forget the past, sparing her from shedding more tears on the road to the underworld. In your view, what is the most painful thing divorce brings to a woman?
长者渴望三代同堂，四代同居，五代同屋，老人害怕被遗弃，怕被子女送进老人院过余生。 老，被遗弃了，苦。
Elders long for three generations under one roof, four generations living together, even five generations sharing the same home. They fear abandonment, fearing that one day their children may send them to a nursing home to spend the rest of their lives. Old age, when accompanied by abandonment, is suffering.
长者行动缓慢，眼睛朦胧，听力不灵光，没有工作能力，经济拮据，十个长者九个节俭，长者担心自己成为孩子的负担。笔者亲耳听过不少于一千个长者说死后要简单处理丧事，为的就是不想子女负担没有收入的人的昂贵的殓葬费。
Elders move slowly, their vision blurs, their hearing fades. They no longer have the ability to work and often live with limited financial means. Nine out of ten elders live frugally, worrying about becoming a burden to their children. I have personally heard no fewer than a thousand elders say they wish for simple funeral arrangements after death, solely to spare their children the heavy financial burden of burial expenses.
长者对死亡的意识特别敏感，身边的朋友、邻居、亲人相继离去，令长者感到自己的大限即到，多少个夜阑人静的晚上，长者听到阴差的呼唤，死亡的意识令他们不安。
Elders are especially sensitive to the presence of death. As friends, neighbors, and loved ones pass away one by one, they begin to feel their own time drawing near. On many quiet nights, they sense the call of death itself. This awareness brings deep unease.
【超度】为何超度宠物?众生包括佛、天人、人、动物，我们都是平等，众生会否轮回完全是取决于他种下的「因」，动物被打入「畜牲道」是一恶果，今生牠带业轮回，我们超度牠，就是希望帮助牠们送往西方极乐世界投胎，不需要再当畜牲，与此同时亦发扬人类爱众生之善心。
Deliverance
Why perform deliverance rituals for pets? All sentient beings—Buddhas, celestial beings, humans, and animals—are equal. Whether one reincarnates depends entirely on the causes they have planted. Being born into the animal realm is itself a negative karmic result. Animals carry karma into this life; by performing deliverance for them, we hope to help guide them toward rebirth in the Pure Land, freeing them from further suffering as animals. At the same time, this practice nurtures humanity’s compassion toward all beings.
很多子女跟父母沟通时都有一点隔膜, 但我在想, 这道隐形围墙是何时建立? 为何建立? 又由谁来拆走? 最后我想通了:围墙是由我执着时建立.围墙是因我犯贪时建立.围墙应该由我先拆下.当我拆下了围墙, 我看到妈妈在墙外跟我微笑. 向在生的母亲说句母亲节快乐, 向离苦的母亲致敬!
Many children experience a sense of distance when communicating with their parents. I often wondered: when was this invisible wall built? Why was it built? And who should remove it? In the end, I understood—it was built by my own attachments, by my own greed. And it must be dismantled by me first. When I took down the wall, I saw my mother smiling at me from the other side. Say “Happy Mother’s Day” to mothers who are still with us, and offer respect to mothers who have been freed from suffering.
